Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

0. What is FJO and what is its mission?

FJO is a youth-led community created to ensure that the voices of people aged 14–30 are strong, visible, and effective in public life. We believe that the future is written by us — and that shaping it requires action.

1. Who can become a member of FJO?

Anyone between the ages of 14 and 30 who wants to take action for their local community, their environment, or the future of the country.

2. What age group is FJO for?

FJO is specifically for young people — from teenagers to young adults. Our goal is to provide space for your ideas and initiatives.

3. Can I be a member of another organization and still join FJO?

Yes, absolutely. We are an open and inclusive community.

4. Is FJO an independent organization?

Yes. We are completely independent of any political party. We are a political organization and are not afraid to engage directly and critically in political debates. While we cooperate with other organizations on specific issues, we are not committed to anyone — and young members of any movement or party can find a home here.

5. What values guide FJO?

Openness, freedom, equal access, shared responsibility, attentiveness, and trust in the future. We believe every young person’s voice matters and that everyone deserves the opportunity to participate.

6. How can I join the community?

Simply fill out the application form on our website, and we will contact you shortly.

7. Is there a membership fee?

No. Anyone can join FJO free of charge.

8. What are FJO’s current actions and programs?

You can find our actions, events, and camps in the relevant sections of our website. These are continuously updated so you always have the latest information.

9. Where can I apply for tasks or initiatives?

You can indicate your interest in joining a project or program at any time through the website.

10. What types of events do you organize for young people?

Discussions, workshops, meetups, actions, and community programs — events where you can learn, connect, and take action for social change in a positive, welcoming atmosphere.

11. How can I take part in FJO’s decision-making?

Every member’s opinion matters. We welcome your ideas and suggestions through online and in-person forums, and many of our decisions are made collectively within projects.

12. How is FJO different from other youth communities?

Because here, young people are not just participants — they are real shapers of the process. You don’t just take part; you can actively shape the direction, programs, and thinking of the community.

13. What kinds of partnerships does FJO engage in?

We are open to any partnership that serves the interests of young people. We are willing to cooperate with NGOs, movements, professional groups, and political parties.

15. How can I contact FJO’s leadership?

You can message us through the website, by email, or via our social media channels. We respond to every message.

16. What can I do if I want to launch my own idea within FJO?

Simply share it with us. We are always happy to support new initiatives and help turn your idea into reality.

17. Through which communication channels is FJO available?

You can find us on our website, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, by email, and on Reddit.

18. How do you protect my personal data?

We handle your data securely, use it only for purposes necessary to operate FJO, and never share it with third parties.

19. Do you organize national meetups?

Yes. Several times a year we organize larger national programs where all FJO members can meet, learn, and build the community together.

20. How can I develop my skills within FJO?

Our workshops and projects are specifically designed to support your growth — communication, organizing, teamwork, civic knowledge. You can try and practice all of these with us.

21. What obligations come with FJO membership?

Being an FJO member does not involve formal obligations. It is primarily about joining a community where you can participate in programs and development opportunities. You gain chances to learn, build skills, and represent your values and civic opinions responsibly and confidently.

22. How does the membership process work?

First, fill out the application form. Then we will contact you by email to arrange an online or in-person interview. If you align with our core principles, you will be accepted and notified by email.

At first, you will become a supporting member. If over the course of two months you are consistently and actively involved, you can become a full member.

If someone does not attend any events for one full year, they are automatically moved back to supporting member status.

If we are unable to accept your application, there is no problem — we can still cooperate on specific causes, and you will be informed by email. There is no need to worry about this process.

23. Can an external party find out that I am a member?

If you are under 18, parental consent is required to join. However, we do not share information about your membership with external parties. A third party — such as a teacher — cannot receive information about whether you are a member.
